To be a member of the Harris County Master Gardener Association you must be a certified Texas Master Gardener. Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service to assist Extension in its work. Master Gardener training classes are offered through Harris County Extension.
Membership in the HCMGA includes membership in the Texas Master Gardener Association, a subscription to the monthlyUrban Dirt newsletter, the opportunity to hold an office in the association and voting rights.
Harris County Master Gardener membership dues are $12 per year. The Master Gardener fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. The deadline to submit dues and membership renewal forms is July 15th.
