MAJOR SHOW TURKEY ORDERS

All those interested in exhibiting Turkeys at the Houston Livestock Show or the San Antonio Livestock Show will  need to place their orders at the CEA Office no later than Friday, June 30th. Poults must be ordered in multiples of 50, however orders can be split (each exhibitor must own a minimum of 5,  maximum of 50).

CONGRATULATIONS TO SAM WALKER

Sam Walker has received the Salute to Excellence State award for his many years of dedication to the 4-H program. Sam and other leaders from around the State will be honored at a recognition dinner in College Station on June 14th. Congratulations and our thanks!



WELCOME AMBER!

The Extension Office is glad to announce that Amber Bolinsky will be working at the Extension Office this summer. She will be putting on several programs and activities throughout the summer. Hopefully everyone will get a chance to come by and meet her.


MAJOR SHOW STEER VALIDATIONS

Everyone that ordered Major Show Steer tags will need to bring their steers for tag in on June 27th. Tag in will be conducted at the Ritchey Moore Vet Clinic. Tag in will begin at 5:00 p.m. and conclude at        6:30 p.m. This year blood samples will be taken for DNA analysis.
Exhibitors & parents must be on
hand  to sign paperwork!


STATE FAIR OF TEXAS

Anyone wishing to exhibit projects at the State Fair of Texas can come by the CEA Office and view the catalog at their convenience.  Entries will be due to the CEA Office by August 18th.  Please let the CEA Office know as soon as possible if you are interested in showing at the State Fair.

STATE CONGRESS DEADLINE EXTENDED

Senior 4-H'ers ages 15-19 can still sign up for 4-H Congress. Congress is an opportunity to experience first hand how the legislature works. Participants introduce bills and vote as Senators and Representatives. They also get to dine with and meet some of our Texas legislatures. All of the events are
