20-day breeding period for WCFA Meat pens is December 25-January 3.  10-day breeding period for WCFA Meat pens ends on January 13, 2001.

there will be a Training/Showmanship Session from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at the CEA Office.  The next Rabbit Club meeting will be on Monday, January 8, 2001 at 6:30 pm at the CEA Office. We will have a guest speaker and the program topic will be "Care of Newborn Kits".
Mandatory dates to remember are:
February 5, 2001   6:30 pm  CEA
ALL RABBIT EXHIBITORS will be required to attend the mandatory meeting on February 5, 2001, at 6:30 pm here at the CEA Office.

4-H RE-ENROLLMENT

PLEASE make sure that you have completed a new 4-H enrollment form for this year if you have a 4-H project of any type.  We MUST have these on file in our office!!


WALKER COUNTY 4-H
REQUIREMENTS

In addition to WCF requirements, a 4-H exhibitor must:
1.  Attend at least 3 4-H educational
     activities.           
2.  Turn in a project record form.
3.  Remain academically eligible.
Remember that Fair workdays, etc. do not count as 4-H educational activities.


BEEF CLUB

The next Beef Club meeting will be on Monday, January 29, 2001, at 7:00 pm at the CEA Office.  The next Steer weigh-in is scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2001 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.


MANDATORY LAMB & GOAT  TOOTHING

A MANDATORY Lamb & Goat toothing will be held at the Walker County Fairgrounds on Thursday, January 11, 2001, 6:00 - 7:00 pm at the Walker County Fairgrounds.  This is only for County Lamb & Goats.


MAJOR SHOW BROILER
PICKUP

Those who ordered broilers for the Houston Livestock Show will need to be at the CEA Office on Friday, January 12, 2001, at 4:00 pm to pick them up.  Remember to bring a box with shavings to take them home in.


COMMERCIAL HEIFER
CLUB

There WILL NOT be a Commercial Heifer Club meeting in December. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, January 23,
