Welcome!
Our club is being reactivated for the 2001-2002 year. We are glad you came by for a visit.
The club held their first meeting in March of 2001. Since that time, we have held two additional club meetings.
Regularly scheduled meetings are to be held on the THIRD TUESDAY of the month (September through May) at the Extension Office. Project work at the range can continue year round.
Safety is our PRIORITY!
If you wish to participate in range activities, you are required to attend a Firearms Safety Training given by the County 4-H Program. There is NO CHARGE for this program.
Our first Shotgun Safety Training of the 2001 year was held May 17th, 2001. This class is to train youth participants to safely participate in range activities sponsored by the 4-H Program in Walker County. At this training, 10 youth participated in the classroom program. Following the lecture session, we went to the range for the range orientation portion of the program.
Our second Shotgun Safety Training was held Saturday, August 11th, 2001. The class will began at the Cooperative Extension Office at 2 PM ran until 5 PM. We then moved to the range facility for orientation from 6 PM until approximately 9 PM. Over 20 youth participated in this training.
