HORSEMANSHIP CLINIC
Would you like to improve your horsemanship skills? The Walker County 4-H Horse Club will sponsor a Horsemanship Clinic to be taught by Texas A&M Students. We tentatively have three choices pending: 1st choice-May 31-June 1, 2nd choice-June 2-3, and 3rd choice-June 5-6. Please keep these dates in mind and we will inform you of the exact date as soon as it becomes available.
LIVESTOCK JUDGING TEAM
The Walker County 4-H Livestock Judging Team recently competed at the SHSU Invitational Contest and placed 2nd overall. Congratulations team! Team members are: Jessica Baggett, Randal Prehoda, Brandy Prehoda, Courtney Jackson, Kaitlyn Van Hess, Justin Hill, Sean Clements, and Whitney Campbell. They will compete next at the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and District 9 contests.
DOG CLUB NEWS
The Dog Club will have an informational meeting on Monday, February 21, 6:30 p.m. at the CEA Office. A program about the Drug Dog Program will be presented. A field trip to Austin for the "Mighty Texas Dog Walk" is planned for February 26th. Members will be attempting to break the record of number of dogs walked at one time (2,114).
